Standard Rule
Zakat is obligatory on gold if it reaches the Nisab (85 grams of 24k gold or equivalent) and has been held for one lunar year.

Nisab for 18k gold is 113.33 grams.

The Zakat rate is 2.5% of the total value.
If the gold is for personal use and adornment, some scholars say it is exempt, while others say Zakat is still due. This calculator follows the view that Zakat is due on all gold.
